JEWISH EDUCATION.

The stories from Jewish history, text and culture can fill classrooms many times over. Having come from a strong Reform Jewish background, attended Jewish summer camps as both a camper and employee, had wonderful opportunities to speak at Synagogues across the country and work at international conferences, I look forward to working with you and your community to explore our Judaism on both personal and universal levels.

Education Work.

My work in education primarily falls into three areas:

DEI+B EDUCATION.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEI+B) is fundamental to ensuring every person feels their identities being affirmed. As someone who holds both dominant identities (e.g., I’m white and have no physical disabilities) and marginalized identities (e.g., I’m queer, trans, and have invisible learning disabilities) , I love being able to help educate others about the importance of fostering cultures of belonging. As a published author in academic journals, a speaker on numerous panels relating to DEI+B work, and someone who is still figuring out their own identities in real time, I’d be honored to speak with members of your community on what it means to do DEI+B work in 2024 and beyond, facilitate DEI+B 101 education trainings, and get to know the fabulous members inside your spaces.

JEWSICALS.

Jewsicals, or Jewish musicals, began at the URJ 6 Points Creative Arts Academy (CAA) in 2018. Jewsicals are short musical adaptations of Judaic texts that are shared at Shabbat services, weekend retreats, acting classes, text study sessions, and anywhere you deem fit. There are infinite ways to interpret our texts. One might tell a linear adaption of the portion of Balak; one might also tell the story through the eyes of the donkey that Balaam rides on.

Jewsical workshops have been done at summer camps, religious school professional development sessions, and conferences.

I write both the music and lyrics and am always happy to collaborate.

To your right, you’ll find some examples of Jewsicals from CAA.

THEATRE EDUCATION.

I’ve been acting since I was a toddler, attended NYU / Tisch for my undergraduate (BFA in Drama), am a playwright, a screenwriter, a musician and a singer, and love to make a fool of myself in the best ways possible. I’d love to work with you and your ensemble on crafting a devised theatre piece, work on crafting a new script, do scene study work, or play some fun improv games!
